SHAKO TACONET OF THE 4th REGIMENT OF CHASSEURS D'AFRIQUE, MODEL 1865, SECOND EMPIRE.
Made of cardboard covered with scarlet cloth (height 104 mm) with a lower band of light blue cloth (height 40 mm) lined with red paper. On each side, at the back and along the top of the light blue band, a silver braid is attached.
At the front, the number 4 in silvered metal (height 25 mm) is attached, above which is a metal tricolor cockade fixed in the center with a silver spherical button and a sky blue woolen loop.
The top is made of scarlet cloth with a silver spherical button and a sky blue woolen loop in the center.
The interior lining is black sheepskin cut in a wolf's teeth pattern (tears and some losses).
Black waxed leather visor with green interior, bearing manufacturer markings embossed in relief "B.F / B / B.F".
In quite good condition, with some moth holes, and the cloth of the band detached at its lower part (some glue spots).
