Décoré à l'effigie d'un hussard ou chasseur de la garde, ce numéro de tirage au sort ( séance du samedi 1er mars 1862 à l'Hôtel de ville de Paris) est celui de Julien Chrétien.

Chaque année, les opérations de tirage au sort débutent après le 20 février. Le contingent est d'environ 90000 pour une classe d'âge qui en compte 300000.

Il est réparti par département (3472 hommes pour celui de la Seine) puis par Canton (arrondissements dans Paris) mais nous ignorons dans le cas présent si le 443 constitue le bon numéro, supérieur au chiffre assigné à l'arrondissement.

En 1862, 8000 hommes seront dirigés sur la cavalerie.

AUTHENTICITY The selection of items offered on this site allows me to guarantee the authenticity of each piece described here, all items offered are guaranteed to be period and authentic, unless otherwise noted or restricted in the description.
An authenticity certificate of the item including the description published on the site, the period, the sale price, accompanied by one or more color photographs is automatically provided for any item priced over 130 euros. Below this price, each certificate is charged 5 euros.
