102nd Line Infantry Regiment Officer’s shako plate, model 1812, First Empire.
Brass gilded and finely chiselled imperial eagle set on a base with number 102 (gilded chiselled brass) appplied. The tips of the base are decorated with a lion’s head.

The 102dn Line Infantry Regiment was formed in 1803 and disbanded in 1815. It took part in all the great battles of the First Empire : 1805, Crossing of the Adige ; 1806 : Fiume-Fredo and Terriolo were taken ; 1807 : Brancaleone and Capri ; 1808 : Malborghetto, Raab, Wagram ; 1810-1812 : battles of Olot and Ribas ; 1813-1814 : Tarvis, Villach, Bassano, Lützen, Leipzig.
