OFFICER BELT BUCKLE PLAQUE OF THE CUIRASSIERS OF CONDÉ, 1814-1830, RESTORATION PERIOD.
Gilded brass belt buckle plaque featuring the coat of arms of Condé against a background of a bundle of flags. This plaque is mounted on a slightly curved brass plate, to the back of which a hook and a double-claw mount are soldered.
Dimensions: 7.6 cm in height x 8.5 cm in width.
Weight: 126 grams.
In perfect condition with all its original gilding.
Restoration period.
This model of belt buckle plaque is extremely rare, as the vast majority of this type of belt buckle is fake. The plaque I am offering is identical to the one from the collections of Raoul and Jean Brunon, currently on display in the Restoration room at the Château de l'Empéri in Salon de Provence.
