Brass hilt. Guard with five branches forming a shell. Cap with a short tail. Horn handle, copper filigree. Straight blade with hollow edges, length 95.5 cm, back of the blade signed "Manufacture d'armes de Châtellerault under Ofer Mle 1896, 1st size 1901 E". Natural buffalo cravat. Steel scabbard with one belt ring.
