LIVERY COAT FROM VERSAILLES, Restoration period. 26283

Coat in scarlet wool closing at the front with three hooks at chest level, adorned with seven wooden buttons covered with a red-black-white embroidered fabric in the shape of a flower (Ø 2.3 cm). Front part adorned on each side with four wide buttonholes represented by the livery braid. Scarlet collar. Collar, front panels, cuffs, and pockets as well as the waist tie and tails are trimmed with a brown livery braid bordered by several scarlet and white checkerboard braids. Dark royal blue cuffs cut straight. Waist tie with two buttons. False horizontal pockets with three buttons, decorated at the top and bottom with three wide buttonholes represented by the livery braid. Lining in dark royal blue wool and cream-colored canvas marked with a feather "1816."
