Obverse, inside a laurel wreath, blue enamel circle with the inscription "RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE" and a profile depiction of the Republic; on the reverse, the motto "VALEUR ET DISCIPLINE".
Medal surmounted by a trophy of arms symbolizing the land and sea forces of the French army.
Reverse of the trophy flat, without the backplate of the cuirass, connected to the medal by a ring.
Yellow ribbon bordered by a green stripe.
