KNIGHT'S CROSS OF THE LEGION OF HONOUR, 1830-1848, July Monarchy. 26393

Silver and enamel star with five double-tipped rays, enameled in white, surrounded by a branch of oak leaves and laurel enameled in light green. Obverse center in gold depicting the profile effigy of Henri IV facing left on a radiant background, bordered by a blue enamel listel with the inscription "HENRI IV" in gold letters below. Reverse center featuring two crossed French tricolor enameled flags on a blue field, bordered by a blue listel bearing the inscription "HONNEUR ET PATRIE" in gold letters. Silver hallmarks at the bottom of the ribbon.
Suspension loop in the form of a crown with arches decorated with palmettes topped by an orb with a cross, independent and movable, the orb crossed by a fluted suspension ring. The crown has a hook inside to be passed through the suspension ball of the easel located between the two upper branches of the cross.
Ribbon.
Total height with suspension loop 6.4 cm. Diameter 4.5 cm.
