Gilt bronze hilt. Three-branched guard. Quillon decorated with a palmette with two silvered metal riveted stars. Cap with a short tail decorated with a flower and laurel branches. Horn handle filigreed in gilded brass. Curved blade with hollow edges, back signed "Mre Impale de Châtt 9bre 1854 = Cavrie lre mle 1822", length 92 cm. Natural buffalo knot. Scabbard with two carrying rings engraved on its outer side with the letter "H" flanked by two laurel branches.
High-quality gold braided sword knot. Tassel with thick twisted cords called "spinach seeds" and two silvered metal stars.
Black varnished leather saber belt lined with burgundy leather stamped "PREVEL 8 RUE RICHELIEU 8 PARIS". Belt width 3.5 cm. Gilded brass buckles. Complete with its two saber suspension straps, width 2.2 cm.
