FIREFIGHTER NON-COMMISSIONED OFFICER HELMET FROM THE COMMUNE OF PAMPROUX, type 1895, Third Republic. 24519
Helmet entirely made of brass. Crest with prominent moldings decorated at the front with a grenade, fixed by an internal screw. Front chrome-plated metal plate embossed with a coat of arms featuring a flaming bomb topped with a city crown surrounded by an oak branch and a laurel branch, topped with a ribbon bearing the inscription "SAPEURS POMPIERS DE PAMPROUX" (FIREFIGHTERS OF PAMPROUX). Tubular-shaped plume holder slightly tapering downwards square in section. Black leather chinstrap. Inner headband made of black waxed calfskin cut into eight lugs.
