FIREMEN'S HELMET OF THE TROOP OF FIREFIGHTERS OF THE TOWN OF CHAUVIGNY, type 1895, Third Republic. 24536

Helmet entirely made of brass. Crest with prominent moldings decorated at the front with a grenade, fixed by an internal screw. Front plate type 1923 in stamped brass representing a shield with a bonfire surmounted by a city crown surrounded by an oak branch and a laurel branch and topped with a ribbon bearing the inscription "SAPEURS POMPIERS DE CHAUVIGNY." Plumet holder tubular in shape, with a slightly decreasing square section towards the bottom. Black leather chin strap. Inner lining in black varnished sheepskin cut into nine sections.
