HELMET FOR THE TROOP OF FIREFIGHTERS OF THE COMMUNE OF LENCLOITRE, type 1895, Third Republic. 24539-2

Helmet entirely made of brass. Crest with prominent moldings decorated at the front with a grenade, attached by an internal screw. Front plate in embossed brass depicting a shield with a flaming bomb topped by a municipal crown, the shield is framed by an oak branch and a laurel branch, in the upper part a ribbon bears the inscription "SAPEURS POMPIERS DE LENCLOITRE". Plumet holder of tubular shape with slightly decreasing square section towards the bottom. Black leather chinstrap. Black waxed leather interior liner cut into nine wolf teeth.

Fair condition, crushing at the level of the plumet holder, some dents and accidents on the bomb and the crest, helmet never disassembled, from a family source.
