Carton body covered with taupe velvet, height at the front of the body 22 cm, and 23 cm at the back. Trimmed at the top with a 3.5 cm high gold braided braid woven in a "cul de dé" pattern, and at the bottom with a 2.7 cm high black velvet brim. Black varnished leather crown, diameter 25.5 cm. Black varnished leather visor, with green waxed interior, adorned with a golden brass rim, studded and folded over the outer edge, visor width 6 cm. White metal cockade embossed with a relief sunburst design, diameter 7 cm.
Front plate made of embossed gilded brass in an oval shield design topped with three fleur-de-lis and the royal crown, surrounded by two laurel branches. This shield is placed on a shield-shaped base with a sanded background, featuring a hunting horn in the center; the lower part of the shield is bordered by an oak branch and a laurel branch, the upper part by a beaded rod curling at each end. Height 14.3 cm, width 11 cm.
Chin straps each composed of a black velvet-clad leather chinstrap covered with a series of 12 golden brass scales with the border cut into four scallops. Gilded brass round rosette, diameter 3.9 cm, embossed with a fleur-de-lis on a sanded background surrounded by a raised rod. Black varnished leather inner liner with a band cut into wolf teeth shapes. Oval pompon (height 5.8 cm, width 5 cm) made of wood covered with a golden cord.

Very good condition, slight chipping on the varnish of the crown, inner liner in poor condition missing some of its wolf teeth shapes.
