Hilt entirely made of hallmarked silver. Guard decorated with pennated leaves, stars worked in a diamond point manner, and weapon trophies. Oval pommel decorated with weapon trophies. Handle adorned with weapon trophies, pennated leaves, and stars. Milled ferrules. Crossguard with rings, decorated with military trophies. Shell-shaped double hilt alternately decorated with beaded and flamed moldings, on the top two oval medallions embellished with weapon trophies, the hilt is bordered with a relief star molding in a diamond point style. Triangular blade, length 78.8 cm, engraved and gilded on its first third with a military trophy, foliage corollas on a blued background, gilded tip. Black varnished leather scabbard with three silver fittings engraved with foliage, geometric patterns, chape with a medallion of weapon trophies.
Silver wire wrist strap with fringed cord and soft tassel, known as a "well rope".

Sword in very good condition, blade retaining all its colors, leather scabbard from the period but worn and broken (without loss) in two places. Wrist strap in good condition, signs of wear.
NOTE: This sword comes from the personal collections of Raoul and Jean Brunon, it is the first sword purchased by the two brothers between 1908 and August 1914, their collection at that time included 200 military objects (Jean Brunon "Idéal Vécu" memories of a collector, unpublished work).
