HELMET
Bomb made of steel sheet dated at the back "55" (1855), numbered "1195", marked "L" and "6" for 6th regiment.
The gutter at the base of the bomb is of the 1845 model with a prominent molding composed of a square groove and another round one.
Turban made of strong leather covered with a black cowhide band from the era (seal), laced at the back with eight metal eyelets. Height on the sides 7 cm. Height at the front 12 cm.
Visor and neck guard made of steel sheet, each bordered with a brass strip folded over the outer edge. The visor is lined with green leather, and the neck guard is black waxed.
Crest made of stamped brass, consisting of a face crowned with a flaming bomb topped with a relief head of Medusa with a crown of laurel and oak branches above, height of the face 13 cm, width 4 cm, attached to the bomb by a round-headed steel screw; two fins (max. height 11.2 cm) stamped with a decreasing series of 8 ridges framed by pearl acanthus leaves and flowers, and in the upper part with laurel leaves, the base of the fins is scalloped, each fin attached to the bomb by two round-headed steel screws; stamped cover plate with a decorative braided mane.
Ornament of the brass crest composed of a lens decorated with palmettes, a socket with laurel branches and palmettes, and a pompom in scarlet horsehair.
Black horsehair mane, visible length approximately 57 cm.
Lamp socket made of brass in the shape of a socket with foliage decoration.
1845 model jugulars mounted on a leather chin strap covered with a series of three intertwined ring rows ending in a sun-embossed rosette, attached to the turban by an iron screw (rosette diameter 5.5 cm), rosettes fixed with flat-headed steel screws.
Interior liner made of black waxed leather cut into 9 lobes.
Very good condition, small dent on the crest and one of the rosettes, strap of one of the chin straps previously changed.

TROOP CUIRASS Model 1852
Made of oil-quenched cast steel and blue tempered on sand bath.
Breastplate bordered by 6 brass rivets, with an accentuated busk, and equipped with 10 internal hooks to hold the padding. It is engraved inside "Manufre Rle de Klingenthal model 1852 3T 2L N°2699". Two black cowhide straps adorned with two brass chains, body finished with a brass button loop with a heart-shaped leather tip; brass strap holders with three rivets.
Backplate, with a pronounced ridge, bordered by 6 brass rivets and 10 internal hooks to hold the padding, marked "Manufre Rale de Klingenthal August 1834 3T 2L N°1459".
Black waxed leather belt with brass buckles and steel buckle.
Very good condition, leather of the shoulder strap partly broken and reinforced by a more recent leather piece, belt changed at a later date.
