One-handed iron sword, with short, thick straight quillons, a wide flat tang onto which the wooden handle was fixed, and a heavy semi-circular pommel. Broad double-edged damascus blade with a central fuller.
Archaeological condition.

Large Straight Saber
Spain, 15th century

Single-edged blade with a back edge towards the tip, slightly widening at the third quarter, fuller along the back on both sides. Fragment of an inscription on one side of the blade consisting of five illegible stamped letters and symbols. Flat straight quillons widening at the ends, with a small ring.
Archaeological condition, blade somewhat corroded on the surface in places and slightly twisted.
