Pair of spurs offered by his Venetian students to Mr. L Lalanne, horse-riding teacher in 1822, Second third of the 19th century.
Silver-plated steel adorned in relief with laurel branches and flowers, side fixing buttons in round shape with lion heads, and buckles with prongs, toothed rollers.
Wooden case covered in red waxed leather maroquin with gilt framing fringes. Silver-plated metal plate, fixed by four rivets on the lid, engraved "To Mr. L. Lalanne. Horse-riding teacher. By fleeing we lend you arms badly explain our desire, When the awe of our greatest charms Was to keep you. His very affectionate Students Venisa anno 1822. Bianchi * Coen * Cortinovis * Erera * Gavassi * Levi * Michielini * Moro * Porcia * Stella * Treves * ". Interior in velvet and green silk braids. Length: 23.5 cm; width: 20.4 cm; height: 5 cm.

Very good condition, one of the spurs with a starting crack on the outer part, case with signs of wear on the corners.
