Body made of cardboard covered with silk fabric, H 22 cm in the front, 23 cm in the back, edged with a 3 cm golden braid at the top and a 4 cm black velvet fringe at the bottom. Black waxed crown, diameter 23.5 cm. Visor in black waxed leather on the outside and green on the inside, width 6 cm.
Metal cockade embossed with a tricolored sun, diameter 7 cm. Gold-plated brass plate, 1830 model, embossed with a rooster surrounded by an oak branch and laurel branch on a radiant sun background, the rooster is on a shield with a center decorated with an oak leaf crown on a background of flag staffs, in the center of which the number "11" is punched. H of the plate 14 cm, width 11 cm.
Chinstraps composed of a leather chinstrap covered with black velvet and entirely covered with brass scales cut in scallops; and a round rosette stamped at its center with a star on a sand background bordered by a raised moulding (diameter 4 cm). Length of the chinstrap 23 cm.
Inner lining made of black waxed sheepskin cut in sawtooth pattern. Inner label stuck under the crown from the manufacturer and army supplier Loyseleur Sr de Caillour at the Palais Royal n° 46 in Paris. Scarlet silk plume mounted on a metal core, visible H 27 cm, total H 42 cm, garnished at its base with a wooden pompon embellished with silver threads, H of the pompon 5.5 cm.
