"POLO" KEPI OF A CAPTAIN FROM THE 11th INFANTRY REGIMENT, Third Republic. 27790

Cap and turban made of fine scarlet cloth, black fine cloth headband, gold-grade soutaches, of the model after 1883. Corps numbers in stamped and cut gold metal, affixed to the front of the headband. Small half-spherical gold buttons, stamped with a grenade, secure the false chinstrap in the color of the regiment. Top of the cap adorned with a Hungarian knot in single-strand gold soutache.
Black patent leather visor, lined with embossed black Morocco leather. Scarlet silk interior coating. Interior headband in black leather.
