Gilded brass hilt. Guard with a single branch "à l'allemande" decorated with a beaded rod. Cap with a short tail embossed with a trophy of arms. Handle in wood covered with black waxed calfskin with a brass double-headed oval nail with scalloped edges. Curved English blade with hollow facets, 79.6 cm long, engraved and gilded on its first half with foliage scrolls, featuring on one side the English crown, the initials "R G(?)", and an English infantry soldier; on the other side, the coat of arms of the House of England with the inscription "Honi soit qui mal y pense" and below it "Dieu & mon droit," and a trophy of arms. Red wool tassel. Wooden scabbard covered with black leather with three large fittings decorated with a flower on a foliage background, joined together by side bands in gilded brass. Brass suspension rings with faceted fixing studs, brass guard.
