BIOGRAPHIES:
*Don José de Rebolledo Palafox y Melzi (1775-1847), Duke of Zaragoza, is a Spanish general, the youngest son of an old Aragonese family, and a hero of the Spanish War of Independence. He was also the nephew of Francesco Melzi d'Eril, whom Napoleon I had made Duke of Lodi.
**Louis Penne de Villemur, Count Villemur (1761-1836), French cavalry officer in the service of Spain during the Spanish War. He was appointed military governor of Barcelona and Carlist Minister of War.
