Seaman's record book of GAUDEFROY Joseph Auguste Narcisse aboard the battleship LE SOLFÉRINO. This record book is duly completed up to his discharge date on December 1, 1871.
Arrived at the Toulon division on January 13, 1863, registered under number 5656-5. Profession: writer.

Dimensions: 20.5 cm x 13 cm.
In fairly good condition, folded corners, water staining, and foxing.

NOTE: The Solférino is a Magenta-class battleship built at the arsenal of Lorient between 1859 and 1861. It was named in honor of the Battle of Solferino on June 24, 1859, during the Italian Campaign.
