COURT SWORD IN POLISHED STEEL WITH HUNTING DECOR AND GOLD BACKGROUND, Former Monarchy, reign of Louis XV, circa 1745-1755.
Polished steel hilt with relief decoration on a gold background. Guard branch decorated with foliage and clusters of grapes. Round-shaped pommel decorated with foliage and clusters of grapes. Quillon with rings, in the same decoration. Filigree wooden handle with a ribbon of polished steel and twisted and braided steel and silver filigrees. Braided ferrules in silver wire. Richly decorated hilt, bivalve clamshell guard with floral designs and abundant fruit clusters.
Triangular blade, length 79 cm, engraved with floral motifs; both sides are engraved in a cartouche with the signature "From the Manufacture of the Raisin mark in Solingen", with a bunch of grapes underneath the signature.
