Bicorn Hat of a Division General with Superior Command, model 1872, Third Republic. 30467
In black "flamand" felt highlighted with a wide gold braid known as "general's edge" (width 7.5 cm), scalloped crest, woven with a double branch of oak leaves with their acorns; a white curled ostrich feather is sewn on the inside of the two edges; braid formed of three matte gold twists, doubling around a large model 1872 general officer's gilded uniform button (half-domed, burnished and matte gold, embossed with a trophy of flags and a shield topped with a star, surmounted by a civic crown), tricolor cockade of 7.5 cm in diameter.
Inner silk lining marked in gold with the manufacturer's logo. Black calf headband.
Length 45 cm - Width 17 cm - Height in straight part 10 cm, 13 cm in left part.
