Gilt bronze hilt. Single-branch guard with a medallion at the front of the crosspiece bearing the date of the corps' creation "1593." Pommel decorated with a fleur-de-lis, flowers, and the profile of Henri IV on a sandblasted background. Wooden handle entirely filigreed in silver. Gilt brass ferrules. Shell guard with a border of foliage molding, palmettes, and fleur-de-lis; the front portion is molded in relief with the Arms of France on a bundle of cavalry guidons. Triangular blade of 84.5 cm in length, white, engraved and gilded on the lower third with floral motifs and a trophy of arms on a blued background, signed "S & K." Near the hilt, a geometric design on a gilt background. Scarlet wool sword knot.

Good condition, hilt in very good condition with intact gilding except on the guard branch where it is rubbed; filigree in perfect condition; blade in good condition with oxidation; without scabbard.
