Gilt bronze hilt. Guard with a richly decorated single branch featuring oak leaves, water leaves, and foliage and palmette corollas. Oval-shaped pommel decorated with an imperial eagle on each side; the pommel is topped with an imperial crown. Wooden handle entirely filigreed in silver. Folding shell guard with a scallop-shaped quillon. Triangular white blade measuring 76 cm in length, acid-etched with floral motifs and military trophies, signed at the base "Coulaux & Cie Klingenthal". Scarlet cloth sword knot.
