Bronze one-piece hilt typical of this model. Single-branch guard. Handle with 19 flutes. Curved flat blade, length 58.5 cm, back of the blade probably signed by the Royal Manufacture of Alsace (traces). One side of the blade is engraved with the inscription "GRENADIER" and on the other side with a flaming bomb originally topped with two crossed L's (for Louis XVI) erased during the French Revolution.
