Typical one-piece bronze hilt of this model. Single-branch guard. Handle with 19 flutes. Blade changed during the revolution, curved with hollow bevels, length 65 cm, signed "Cassaignard Md Swordmaker Of the King … (in Nantes)" the name of the city is very difficult to read. One side of the blade is engraved with the inscription "à la Victoire" with an ancient warrior, and on the other side a radiant sun surmounted by a military trophy with a fasces of lictors.
