Typical one-piece bronze hilt of this model. Single-branch guard. Fluted handle with 19 twists. Flat curved blade, length 59.5 cm, back of the blade signed by the Royal Manufacture of Alsace (trace). One side of the blade is engraved with the inscription "GRENADIER" and on the other side with a flaming bomb originally topped with two crossed L's (for Louis XVI) removed during the French Revolution.

In good condition, blade shows oxidation but engravings are well-preserved, without scabbard.
