Steel hilt entirely pierced with decorative motifs. Guard with geometric designs featuring flowers and small rings. Relief-moulded knuckle bow. Two-shell guard. Oval-shaped pommel similarly adorned to the guard. Wooden grip entirely filigreed in silver. Silver braided ferrules. Triangular blade engraved and gilded on its first third with fleur-de-lis, the Arms of France, signed at the heel "Bourdin Gendre & successor of Sir Giverne, Cutler to the King's House, Pont St Michel at the Head in Paris" on a blued background, length 79.8 cm.
