FIREFIGHTER OFFICER HELMET FROM THE CITY OF CHÂTELLERAULT, type 1895, Third Republic. 24531
Helmet entirely made of nickel-plated metal. Crest with protruding moldings decorated at the front with a grenade, fixed by an internal screw. Front plate in stamped brass with a shield stamped with a flaming grenade, surrounded by an oak branch and a laurel branch and a ribbon bearing the inscription "SAPEURS POMPIERS DE CHATELLERAULT". Tubular-shaped plume holder with slightly decreasing square section towards the bottom. Black waxed leather chinstraps. Inner lining in black waxed leather with nine wolf teeth.
