FIREFIGHTER HELMET OF THE ORLÉANS RAILWAY COMPANY SAPPER TROOP, type 1895, Third Republic. 24541

Helmet made entirely of brass, with the registration number "7995" on the neck guard. Crest with prominent moldings decorated in the front with a grenade, secured by an internal screw. Front plate made of stamped brass featuring a coat of arms with a flaming bomb with a city crown, surrounded by an oak branch and a laurel branch, and a ribbon bearing the inscription "Cie du CHEMIN DE FER D'ORLEANS". Black leather chinstrap. Tubular-shaped plume holder with slightly decreasing square section towards the bottom. Inner helmet made of black waxed calfskin cut into eight sections.
