FIREFIGHTER HELMET FROM THE COMMUNE OF SCHILTIGHEIM, model of October 5, 1933, Fifth Republic. 24481
Slightly trapezoidal-shaped stainless steel firefighter helmet with nickel and chrome, polished externally, maintaining the characteristics of the 1926 model helmet with ventilation holes, spring blades, and chin strap attachments. Brass rim folded over the outer edge of the visor and nape protector. Nape protector stamped by the manufacturer "FRANCK AND SONS IN AUBERVILLIERS." Flat surface on the front of the crest with a brass flame emblem. Crest secured by rivets. Front plate depicting a shield of gules with three merlettes, flanked by oak and laurel branches, all topped with a ribbon bearing the inscription "FIREFIGHTERS OF SCHILTIGHEIM." Brown leather chin strap. Interior leather liner in ochre with eight "loup" teeth and ink stamp size "55."
