FIREFIGHTERS' HELMET OF THE CITY OF MURS, 1855 modified 1872 type, Third Republic. 24474
Made entirely of brass. Crest stamped with 11 flutings. Front plate embossed with a shield surmounted by a pyre, framed by oak and laurel leaf branches, topped with a crown, itself topped with two crossed axes and a flaming bomb. Ribbon with the inscription "Srs POMPIERS DE MURS" (Firefighters of Murs). Visor and neck guard edged with a brass band folded over the outer edge. Chinstraps consisting of a leather chin strap covered with a series of scalloped brass scales, with round-shaped rosettes stamped with circular moldings. Tube-shaped plume holder with a square section tapering downwards.

Fair condition, some dents on the bomb and crest, three scales missing on the right chinstrap, screw of the right rosette replaced later, on the right fin, a later screw and nut, missing internal liner.
