One-piece bronze hilt typical of this model. Single-branch guard. Ribbed handle with 19 grooves. Curved flat blade, length 58.5 cm, back of the blade signed "Mture Imple de Klingenthal September 1813." Red wool knot. Black waxed leather scabbard with two brass fittings, lanyard loop, scabbard tip with brass drag.

The 1776 model infantry sabers were widely reused during the revolution. This model is mounted with a blade from September 1813, probably for a national guard or a civilian body such as a rural guard.
