MILITARY SWORD, Germany, Late 16th century. 30415
Iron hilt with wrap-around guard decorated with dot motifs: conical pommel with facets, guard with quillons and rings, and wooden grip covered with plain leather devoid of filigree. Strong flat blade with back and fullers measuring 97.5 cm, stamped with the mark of the armorer Georg Linder from Dresden. Probably 19th-century wooden scabbard, leather-covered, with suspension loop, scabbard tip, and iron chape (button-shaped).
Germany. Late 16th century. Good condition, with usual oxidation, later scabbard.
