PRE-REGULATION ARCON PISTOL, Former Monarchy (circa 1730). 30412

Eight-sided barrel for half of its length followed by an astragal and a muzzle reinforcement. Strong hook fixed on the counter-plate allowing the weapon to be carried on the belt. Barrel length: 28.50 cm, overall length with the breech 32.3 cm, caliber 15 mm.
Lime wood stock with a long shaft. All fittings in polished iron. Screwed cap with branches, ornate trigger guard and counter-plate with matching volute decoration, only one original ramrod pipe loop. Semi-round lock with a profile accented by a line; the battery has a discreet bulge. The name of the gunsmith "BLANC . LAINE A SAVOUES" (Saugues) is engraved in front of the hammer.
Wooden ramrod.
Total length of the pistol 44.5 cm.
