Octagonal then round barrel, length 20 cm, caliber 17 mm, overall length with the breech tang 24.2 cm; marked under the breech "1815", "B" for Bouyssavy, "28", and "JC" for the controller Jean Casamajou and "D" for Darcantel. Original ramrod marked with the fleur-de-lis and threaded at the end.
Varnished walnut stock with a long butt. All fittings in polished brass. Finial cap intricately engraved with the arms of France flanked by laurels; trigger guard with fleur-de-lis, stamped inside with "D" for Darcantel, inspector at Maubeuge since 1808, along with a "P" and "28". Lock plate originally marked "Maubeuge Manuf Rle" now erased, stamped with a crown over "B" for the first controller D. Bouyssavy at Maubeuge since March 31, 1808, and "EL" for the locksmith; the interior of the pan bears an unidentified crowned "R". Brass counterplate. Copper mouthpiece with double bands.

Fairly good condition, broken stock repaired, steel parts with oxidation, barrel has lost its original colors and engravings.
