Giberne of the 2nd Company of Musketeers of the King's Military Household "Black Musketeers", Restoration period (1814-1816). Inventory number 30045.
Black varnished leather giberne. Case measuring 17 cm in length, 8.5 cm in height, and 5 cm in width; curved shape; on each side of the case at its upper part, two long silver metal rings are sewn for the passage of the banderole. Under the case, a silver metal button secures the pattelette.
The pattelette (width at the top 19 cm, at the bottom 22 cm, height at the center 12.5 cm) is bordered with a 2 cm wide silver braid, with two wide black bindings.
In the center of the pattelette, the distinctive cross in silvered copper with a gold edge is attached, stamped and reinforced with tin. This emblem measures 6.3 cm in height and width.
The banderole is made of calf leather covered with a 5.4 cm wide silver braid and lined with dark blue cloth, with four black bindings. Silver metal fittings consisting of an oval buckle engraved with two Musketeer crosses and a half-oval engraved with a cross.
