PAIR OF EMBROIDERED EPAULETTES BELONGING TO BRIGADE GENERAL PIERRE MARIE FAUCHER KNOWN AS CONSTANTIN, First Empire. 30227
Entirely made of threads, bullion, and spangles. Each epaulette body in woven lace with a cul-de-sac design adorned with two silver thread stars and sequins, lined with dark blue, almost black fabric (length 15.5 cm, body width 7.5 cm, fringe height 6.5 cm), with double rotation, a double row of fringes with large "spinach seed" beads.
Cardboard box covered in ivory paper, lined with green paper, with inner cushioning in fabric with pink and green checks. Round label printed in black on the lid and another identical one inside the lid reads "À L'ÉTOILE D'OR, / Rue Saint-Honoré, near / l'Oratoire, n° 147. / VATEL, / Holds a shop for all kinds of Embroideries and Gilding in gold and silver."
