Cylinder made of black cloth-covered leather, height 21 cm at the front and 22 cm at the back, with a leather chin strap (width 2.5 cm) at the bottom. Crown with a diameter of 24 cm and a black waxed leather visor, width of 6.5 cm. Cockade (diameter 6.9 cm) made of embossed iron with a relief of a white lacquered radiant sun, model 1818. Brass plate, model 1823, depicting a shield struck with three fleur-de-lis above the royal crown, all surrounded by laurel branches; at the bottom, a shield-shaped base cut out in the center with the number "50," height of the plate 14 cm, width 11 cm. It is attached to the cylinder by a wide brass tab that slides into a leather sheath sewn onto the cylinder. Rosette stamped with a fleur-de-lis. Interior liner composed of a leather band topped with a large ecru canvas.
