Fully brass hilted sabre with leather scabbard, the model of which was created in 1804 by the sword cutler DUC.
Hilt with a hollow branch, H 12.2 cm without knuckle, outer ear in the shape of a shield, H 5.45 cm, engraved with an anchor (practically entirely erased), the hilt branch ends with a ball knuckle struck with the stamp "DUC". The crosspiece is hollowed below. Cap with a short tail, H 8.9 cm. Handle of wood covered with straight filigree brass leather.
Blade by Klingenthal with hollow bevels, 69.2 cm long by 4.3 cm at the heel and 6.8 cm at the tip, back thickness at the heel approximately 1 cm, with a strong tip bevel. It is engraved on each side "IMPERIAL GUARD" in large cursive letters in a cartouche with rope, anchor, and palm leaves, back with leaf edge.
Black waxed leather scabbard with three brass fittings, brass tip, brass rings. Brass ring studs. Scabbard length 72.5 cm. Scabbard leather stamped with an anchor (difficult to read) under the ring strap in the middle of the scabbard.

Fair condition, sword never cleaned, oxidation on the blade, the anchor engraved on the knuckles is almost erased and difficult to read, the wooden liners of the scabbard have been removed, slight abrasions on the leather of the scabbard.
