PISTOL OF THE ROYAL BODYGUARDS OF THE MILITARY HOUSE OF THE KING, first model, 1814-1816, First Restoration. 30169

"Twisted barrel," following the pattern of the An IX, thunder-gilt with Alphand stamp (partially readable), marked in gold letters: "Royal Bodyguards." Caliber 17 mm. Barrel length 19.7 cm, with the breech 24.5 cm, total length of the pistol 34.5 cm.
Lockplate of the An XIII cavalry model with slight flare at the battery, signed "Maubeuge Manuf Rle," guilloché sight. Stock with a very sloping grip ending in a straight buttcap topped with a button. Brass fittings, underguard ending in a fleur-de-lis, buttcap in the shape of a relief-molded ellipse with the Arms of France. Iron ramrod.

Very good condition, the barrel has lost its bluing, gold plating of the "Royal Bodyguards" inscription refreshed.
