CUIRASS PLASTRON OF CARABINIERS, model 1830 modified 1854, Second Empire. 29980
Model made of steel plated with a sheet of brass, marked "1098," bordered by 10 brass nails and lined with a sheet of brass itself bordered by 6 brass rivets. In the center is fixed a glory in steel in the shape of a radiant sun on which is attached an oval brass badge stamped with the imperial eagle on a sandblasted background framed by laurel branches. The breastplate is marked "Manufre Rle de Kingenthal May 1831, 1stT, 1stW No. 388" (1st size, 1st width).
Complete with its internal hooks for the quilted vest.
