His Majesty being informed of the violence committed against Claude ROGER, native of the parish of Montgeron near Villeneuve St George to force him to sign his engagement for the Marine Company, His Majesty has given and grants him absolute leave to withdraw wherever he pleases, making His Majesty's very explicit prohibitions and prohibitions to the officers of this regiment and all others from troubling Claude Roger under the pretext of the said engagement under penalty of disobedience. Done at Versailles on March 13, 1740.”

His Majesty has given and grants him absolute leave to continue his studies, making very emphatic prohibition to Dupuis and other officers of the said regiment from troubling him under the pretext of the said engagement under penalty of disobedience. Done at Versailles on July 21, 1743.”
