General Staff Order at the Imperial Headquarters in Warsaw, January 19, 1807.
The former General Thuringia presented himself in Warsaw without orders and met with suspicious individuals: "It is ordered at any French post where he may appear to arrest him on suspicion of having connections with the enemy."
By another verdict rendered on January 11, 1807, the "Special Council in Posen sentenced in absentia to five years of hard labor and a fine of 1500 francs, Jean FORGERON, native of Saint-Blaise, and Jean-Pierre SOULIER, born in Saint Lemielle, both from the Ardèche department, and voltigeurs in the seventeenth regiment of light infantry guilty of the crime of desertion from the Army."
By the judgment of the same day, the same Council "sentenced in absentia to seven years of hard labor and a fine of 1500 francs, the individuals named André VEAU, native of Nonières, and Jean-Pierre RÉGNIER, native of Cristal, both from the Ardèche department, and voltigeurs in the seventeenth regiment of light infantry, guilty of desertion from the Army and of taking away supplies provided by the Corps."
