Gilt brass hilt. Single-branch guard. Cross-guard with ringlets. Bivalve pommel. Oval-shaped pommel decorated with lines. Wood handle entirely filigreed with brass, with braided brass ferrules. Two-sided, centrally ridged blade, 80.9 cm long, engraved with military trophies and floral motifs, signed at the base "Miliot Marchand Swordmaker Rue Condé Near The Corner of the Mirror in Dijon." Scarlet cloth sword knot. Black varnished leather scabbard with two gilt brass fittings decorated with lines, chape with button for hanging on the belt.

Good condition, hilt retaining a large part of its gilding, blade oxidized, scabbard in good condition with fading gilt fittings, missing suspension ring on the chape.
