Short pentagonal barrel dated "1830 / MR", marked "C de 17-8", registered "611" and dated "1827", length 50 cm. Butt plate engraved "Mle 1822 T", length with the butt plate 55 cm.
Flintlock signed "Mre Rle de Maubeuge". Stamp "R", presumably from François Roguet, first controller, on the lock and fittings.
Walnut stock, cheek piece, half-stock clearing the barrel, acceptance stamp "MR / 1827 - IVN", registered "1827".
Brass fittings except for the iron escutcheon, hooded muzzle, rod attached to the muzzle and counter-plate.
Total length of the weapon 87 cm.

NOTE:
In 1822, the 1816 model musketoon underwent some changes, the most visible of which was the adoption of a different rod from the previous one. Indeed, the rod of model 1822 is now secured to the musketoon by three screws instead of two on the 1816 model. It was necessary to pass the screw through the stock at the rear, hence the presence of a brass rosette at the back of the lock to easily identify a 1822 as opposed to a 1816 which does not have one.
