OFFICER'S CROSS OF THE LEGION OF HONOR, model 1815-1830, Second Restoration. 28006
Gold star with five double-pointed rays, enameled in white, topped by a crown. Star surrounded by oak and laurel leaves enameled light green.
Obverse center in gold depicting the profile of the crowned head of Henry IV against a background of a radiant sun, profile head facing to the left, encircled by a blue enamel circle with the inscription in gold letters: "HENRI IV."
Reverse center with three fleur-de-lis on an Azure field, surrounded by a blue enamel circle with the gold motto: "HONNEUR ET PATRIE."
Star topped by a crown, separate and surmounted by a small ball pierced by a smooth suspension ring, topped by a small cross with eight fleurs-de-lis and eight arches. Small green and blue enamels decorate the base of the crown.
The crown has a hook on the inside to be passed through the suspension ball of the easel located between the two upper branches of the cross.
Hallmark on the ribbon binding the laurel branches.
Scarlet ribbon with rosette.
Total height with the crown: 6.1 cm

Perfect condition, some enamel missing on a leaf of the crown, ribbon very slightly sun-faded.
