Gold star with five double-pointed rays, enameled in white, topped with a crown. Star surrounded by oak and laurel leaves enameled in light green.
Obverse center in gold representing the profile of the crowned head of the Emperor against a radiant sun background, profile head facing left, encircled by a blue enamel circle with the inscription in gold letters: "NAPOLEON EMPEROR OF THE FRENCH."
Reverse center showing the Imperial Eagle, head facing right, on an Azure field, head facing right, surrounded by a blue enamel circle with the gold motto: "HONOUR AND COUNTRY."
Star topped with a crown, independent and surmounted by a small ball pierced by the smooth suspension ring, topped by a small cross with eight fleurons and eight arches. Small green and blue enamels adorn the base of the crown.
The crown has a hook inside to be passed through the suspension ball of the stand located between the two upper branches of the cross.
Hallmark on the ribbon binding the laurel branches.
Scarlet ribbon with rosette.
Total height with crown: 6.1 cm
